ایف بی آر نے جولائی سے نومبر تک 15.5 ٹریلین روپے کا ریونیو اکٹھا کیا
During the first five months of the current financial year, the Federal Board of Revenue collected revenue of Rs 15.5 trillion.
Statistics from the FBR show that about one-third of the total revenue, Rs 409 billion came from imports of 10 types of commodities. These include cooking oil and seven different types of energy sources.
From July to November, the FBR earned revenue of Rs 409 billion on imports of petrol, natural gas, crude oil, high speed diesel, coal, RBD palm oil, first palm, furnace oil and cotton and seeds.
It may be mentioned that for the first time 17 sales tax has been imposed on the import of crude oil and the import duty on the import of petrol has been increased from 5 to 10 percent. The tax rate on palm oil has also been changed. Revenue of Rs. 409 billion is equivalent to 33% of Rs. 15.5 trillion. This is 17.6 per cent more than the revenue collected during the same period last year.
Statistics on duties and taxes at the import stage by the FBR indicate heavy indirect taxes which are having a profound effect on the people, especially the low-income groups.
With the increase in import taxes, the share of these direct taxes in the total tax collection has increased to 67%, which is having the greatest impact on the poor and middle class. Significant increase in import volume is expected due to increasing trade activities in the country and limited production of food items.

ایف بی آر کے اعدادوشمار بتاتے ہیں کہ کل آمدن کا تقریباً ایک تہائی حصہ 409 ارب روپے 10 اقسام کی اشیاء کی درآمدات سے حاصل ہوا۔ ان میں کوکنگ آئل اور سات مختلف قسم کے توانائی کے ذرائع شامل ہیں۔
جولائی سے نومبر تک ایف بی آر نے پیٹرول، قدرتی گیس، خام تیل، ہائی اسپیڈ ڈیزل، کوئلہ، آر بی ڈی پام آئل، فرسٹ پام، فرنس آئل اور کپاس اور بیجوں کی درآمدات سے 409 ارب روپے کا ریونیو حاصل کیا۔
واضح رہے کہ پہلی بار خام تیل کی درآمد پر 17 سیلز ٹیکس عائد کیا گیا ہے اور پیٹرول کی درآمد پر درآمدی ڈیوٹی 5 سے بڑھا کر 10 فیصد کر دی گئی ہے۔ پام آئل پر ٹیکس کی شرح میں بھی تبدیلی کی گئی ہے۔ روپے کی آمدنی 409 ارب روپے کے 33 فیصد کے برابر ہے۔ 15.5 ٹریلین۔ یہ پچھلے سال کی اسی مدت کے دوران جمع کی گئی آمدنی سے 17.6 فیصد زیادہ ہے۔
ایف بی آر کی جانب سے درآمدی مرحلے پر ڈیوٹیوں اور ٹیکسوں کے اعدادوشمار بھاری بالواسطہ ٹیکسوں کی نشاندہی کرتے ہیں جو لوگوں بالخصوص کم آمدنی والے طبقوں پر گہرے اثرات مرتب کر رہے ہیں۔
درآمدی ٹیکسوں میں اضافے سے مجموعی ٹیکس وصولیوں میں ان براہ راست ٹیکسوں کا حصہ بڑھ کر 67 فیصد ہو گیا ہے جس کا سب سے زیادہ اثر غریب اور متوسط طبقے پر پڑ رہا ہے۔ ملک میں بڑھتی ہوئی تجارتی سرگرمیوں اور غذائی اشیاء کی محدود پیداوار کی وجہ سے درآمدی حجم میں نمایاں اضافہ متوقع ہے۔
