ایف آئی اے نے 10 ایرانیوں کو غیر قانونی طور پر پاکستانی شناختی کارڈ حاصل کرنے پر گرفتار کیا
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has claimed to have arrested 10 Iranian nationals who allegedly obtained Pakistani identity documents in connivance with local officials and agents.
An FIA spokesman said that operations were conducted in different areas of Karachi in which 10 people were arrested.
He said the arrested Iranians had recently obtained Pakistani national identity cards and were planning to travel to Qatar on Pakistani passports with the help of Pakistani and Iranian agents.
The spokesman said the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle had formed three teams which acted on intelligence inputs and arrested the suspects.
He said the FIA has started investigations against senior officers and employees of the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).
An FIA spokesperson said, “Legal action has been initiated and officers of Nadra and their agents are being questioned. Recently, a Deputy Director and Assistant Director of Nadra were arrested for taking bribe Was.”
“Despite warnings and pending investigation, issue of illegal identity cards by Nadra officials and employees is a matter of concern,” he said.
A case has been registered by the FIA against the Iranian nationals under relevant provisions of Pakistan Penal Code and Foreigners Act, 1946.
The spokesman said that some revelations were made during the preliminary investigation of the accused, following which the FIA was contemplating to increase the scope of investigation from the level of the Union Council to the officers of the Passport Office.
وفاقی تحقیقاتی ایجنسی (ایف آئی اے) نے 10 ایرانی شہریوں کو گرفتار کرنے کا دعویٰ کیا ہے جنہوں نے مقامی حکام اور ایجنٹوں کی ملی بھگت سے مبینہ طور پر پاکستانی شناختی دستاویزات حاصل کیں۔
ایف آئی اے کے ترجمان نے بتایا کہ کراچی کے مختلف علاقوں میں کارروائیاں کی گئیں جس میں 10 افراد کو گرفتار کیا گیا۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ گرفتار ایرانیوں نے حال ہی میں پاکستانی قومی شناختی کارڈ حاصل کیے تھے اور پاکستانی اور ایرانی ایجنٹوں کی مدد سے پاکستانی پاسپورٹ پر قطر جانے کا ارادہ رکھتے تھے۔
ترجمان نے کہا کہ انسداد انسانی سمگلنگ سرکل نے تین ٹیمیں تشکیل دی ہیں جنہوں نے خفیہ معلومات پر کارروائی کی اور ملزمان کو گرفتار کیا۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ ایف آئی اے نے نیشنل ڈیٹا بیس اینڈ رجسٹریشن اتھارٹی (نادرا) کے سینئر افسران اور ملازمین کے خلاف تحقیقات شروع کر دی ہیں۔
ایف آئی اے کے ترجمان نے کہا کہ قانونی کارروائی شروع کر دی گئی ہے اور نادرا کے افسران اور ان کے ایجنٹوں سے پوچھ گچھ کی جا رہی ہے۔ حال ہی میں نادرا کے ایک ڈپٹی ڈائریکٹر اور اسسٹنٹ ڈائریکٹر کو رشوت لیتے ہوئے گرفتار کیا گیا تھا۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ انتباہات اور زیر التوا تحقیقات کے باوجود نادرا حکام اور ملازمین کی جانب سے غیر قانونی شناختی کارڈ جاری کرنا تشویش کا باعث ہے۔
ایف آئی اے کی جانب سے ایرانی شہریوں کے خلاف پاکستان پینل کوڈ اور فارنرز ایکٹ 1946 کی متعلقہ دفعات کے تحت مقدمہ درج کیا گیا ہے۔
ترجمان نے بتایا کہ ملزم سے ابتدائی تفتیش کے دوران کچھ انکشافات ہوئے ہیں جس کے بعد ایف آئی اے تحقیقات کا دائرہ یونین کونسل کی سطح سے پاسپورٹ آفس کے افسران تک بڑھانے پر غور کر رہی ہے۔
