The five were arrested between 2002 and 2003 and held in the CIA’s darkest prison in the world, which is now completely banned for testing various types of violence.
All were brought to Guantanamo about 15 years ago.
Defense attorneys argue that the violence tarnished the entire case and that the entire case would be dismissed if it was prosecuted in federal court in the United States.
