چین افغانستان میں اپنا سفارت خانہ کھلا رکھے گا: طالبان ترجمان
China is committed to keeping its embassy in Afghanistan open and increasing humanitarian aid to the war-torn country, said taliban spokesperson.
Spokesman Sohail Shaheen said on Twitter that Abdul Salam Hanafi, a member of the group’s political office in Doha, Qatar, spoke by phone with Wu Jianghao, vice foreign minister of the People’s Republic of China.
The Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister said that he would keep his embassy in Kabul and our relations would be better than in the past. Afghanistan can play an important role in the security and development of the region.
The spokesman added, “China will also continue its humanitarian assistance, especially for the treatment of COVID-19.”
Beijing did not immediately confirm this.
Much of the world waits and sees contact with the Taliban.
But China has repeatedly criticized the hasty and unplanned withdrawal of the United States from Afghanistan, saying it was ready to deepen “friendly and cooperative” relations after the Taliban took over.
The Chinese embassy in Kabul is operational, although Beijing began deporting Chinese citizens months ago due to security concerns.
But Beijing has not yet recognized the Taliban as a de facto government and is wary of a group that supports Uighur separatists trying to infiltrate its sensitive Xinjiang border region.
A stable and cooperative administration in Kabul will pave the way for Beijing to expand its infrastructure abroad, analysts say.
The Taliban, meanwhile, see China as a major source of investment and economic aid.
Chinese companies are also looking at Afghanistan’s vast copper and lithium mines, but experts say security uncertainty means an immediate flood of goods from investors is not possible.

چینی نائب وزیر خارجہ نے کہا کہ وہ کابل میں اپنا سفارت خانہ رکھیں گے اور ہمارے تعلقات ماضی کی نسبت بہتر ہوں گے۔ افغانستان خطے کی سلامتی اور ترقی میں اہم کردار ادا کرسکتا ہے۔
ترجمان نے مزید کہا ، “چین اپنی انسانی امداد بھی جاری رکھے گا ، خاص طور پر کوویڈ 19 کے علاج کے لیے۔”
بیجنگ نے فوری طور پر اس کی تصدیق نہیں کی۔
