Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin said the partial relaxation of restrictions to curb the spread of the new COVID-19 in Malaysia will allow most companies to resume operations on May 4.
Muhyiddin said Malaysia is ready to start a controlled and careful reopening of its economic activity, he said during a television speech
Religious activities – large gatherings and companies that involve close contacts, such as cinemas and night clubs – cannot be reopened. Schools and universities are also closed.
Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin also said the government has decided to partially reopen the economic sectors through the enforcement of strict operating procedures (SOPs). “The decision is made on the recommendation of the Ministry of Health and is based on the data collected and best practices from WHO.
Some of the SOPs include wearing masks, practicing social distancing, and maintaining a high level of personal hygiene, said Muhyiddin Yassin. Restaurants can also be reopened, but must maintain strict social distance, he added.

وزیر اعظم محی الدین یاسین نے کہا کہ کورونا کے پھیلاؤ پر قابو پانے کے لئے عائد پابندیوں کو جزوی طور پر نرم کرتے ہوئے ملائشیا 4 مئی سے اکثریت کے کاروبار کو دوبارہ کام شروع کرنے دے گا۔
محی الدین نے کہا کہ ملائشیا معاشی سرگرمیوں کو دوبارہ سے کنٹرول کرنے کے لئے تیار ہے۔ انہوں نے ٹیلی ویژن سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے کہا
وزیر اعظم نے کہا کہ مذہبی سرگرمیوں کے بڑے اجتماعات اور کاروباری اداروں جن میں قریبی رابطے ہوتے ہیں ، جیسے سنیما نائٹ کلبوں کو دوبارہ کھولنے کی اجازت نہیں ہوگی ، اسکول اور یونیورسٹیاں بھی بند رہیں گی۔
محی الدین یاسین نے یہ بھی کہا کہ حکومت نے سختی سے متعلق معیاری آپریٹنگ طریقہ کار (ایس او پیز) کو نافذ کرکے اقتصادی شعبے کو جزوی طور پر دوبارہ کھولنے کا فیصلہ کیا ہے ، ”یہ فیصلہ وزارت صحت کے مشورے پر کیا گیا ہے اور اعداد و شمار کو جمع کرنے اور ان کی بنیاد پر قائم کیے گئے بہترین طریقوں کی بنیاد پر کیا گیا ہے۔
