Prime Minister Imran Khan has expressed his views on World Labor Day as the government is determined to improve the working and living conditions of workers and to complement their wellbeing by providing better housing, educational facilities and health insurance for them and their families.
Prime Minister Imran Khan said in his message on today’s World Working Day: “The government intends to develop automated, integrated systems for workers’ welfare institutions to ensure transparency and reduce delays in relieving workers.”
World Labor Day reminds us of the victims of the workers who have laid down their lives for their rights. The day symbolizes the holiness and dignity of work and is at the same time an acknowledgment of the importance of the workers for the economic growth of the country.
The Prime Minister said that our religion emphasizes the principles of social justice and respect for human rights. Our holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) himself occasionally worked on Ghazwa-e-Khandaq, among other things, to demonstrate respect for the work. Respect for hard work and recognition of workers’ rights are extremely important as progress progresses.
Imran Khan said the day laborers are the ones more affected by the coronavirus pandemic. The government has therefore announced a stimulus package and allocated an amount of Rs. 200 billion for workers and daily operations.
The Prime Minister added, “Given the needs of the labor market, the current government has launched vocational education and training programs so that workers can get their fair share of the labor markets inside and outside the country.”

عالمی یوم مزدور ، مزدوروں کی قربانیوں کی یاد دلاتا ہے جنہوں نے اپنے حقوق کے لئے اپنی جانیں نچھاور کیں ، یہ دن مزدور کے تقدس اور وقار کی علامت ہے اور ساتھ ہی یہ معاشی نمو کے لئے مزدوروں کی اہمیت کا اعتراف کیا ہے۔
وزیر اعظم نے مزید کہا کہ “مزدور منڈی کی ضروریات کو مدنظر رکھتے ہوئے ، موجودہ حکومت نے پیشہ ورانہ تربیت اور مہارت کی ترقی کے پروگراموں کا آغاز کیا ہے تاکہ مزدوروں کو ملک کے اندر اور بیرون ملک ملازمت کے منڈیوں میں ان کا مناسب حصہ مل سکے”۔
