یو این جی اے کے صدر منتخب ہونے والے آج پاکستان کا دورہ کریں گے
اقوام متحدہ کی جنرل اسمبلی (یو این جی اے) کے 75 ویں اجلاس کے صدر منتخب ہونے والے ، ولکان بوزکیر 9-10 اگست ، 2020 ء کو حکومت پاکستان کی دعوت پر پاکستان آئیں گے۔
وہ ایک تاریخی اور بے مثال جنرل اسمبلی اجلاس کی سربراہی کریں گے کیونکہ اقوام متحدہ اس سال اس کے قیام کی 75 ویں سالگرہ منا رہا ہے۔ روایتی طور پر رواں سال کا اقوام متحدہ کا سب سے اعلیٰ سطحی اجلاس ، جنرل اسمبلی کی عام بحث کا کہنا ہے کہ اقوام متحدہ کی جانب سے اس ستمبر میں ہونے والا اعلان انتہائی سست روی کا معاملہ ہوگا ، جس میں عالمی رہنما نیویارک سے دور رہیں گے ، اور اس میں حصہ ڈالیں گے۔ جمعرات کو اقوام متحدہ کے ترجمان نے ویڈیو لنک کے ذریعے تقاریر کی تصدیق کی۔
ہر ممبر ریاست ، مبصر ریاست ، اور یوروپی یونین کو اپنے نامزد اعلی سطحی عہدیدار کے ذریعہ پیش کردہ پہلے سے ریکارڈ شدہ ویڈیو پیش کرنے کے لئے مدعو کیا گیا ہے ، جو جنرل اسمبلی ہال میں کھیلا جائے گا۔ اقوام متحدہ کے ترجمان نے کہا ، “ہال خالی نہیں ہوگا کیونکہ ان ویڈیوز کو ہر ریاست کے نمائندے پیش کریں گے ، جو جسمانی طور پر موجود ہوں گے۔”
وزارت خارجہ نے اس دورے کا اعلان کرتے ہوئے کہا ہے کہ جب بوزکیر وزیر اعظم عمران خان اور وزیر خارجہ شاہ محمود قریشی سے ملاقاتیں کریں گے ، اس دورے میں خود اقوام متحدہ کی کوششوں میں پاکستان کی مضبوط اور ٹھوس شراکت کو اجاگر کرنے کے لئے اہم ہے۔ بین الاقوامی امن و سلامتی کے فروغ اور بحالی ، خاص طور پر دنیا بھر میں اقوام متحدہ کے امن کیپریشن آپریشنز میں ہماری شراکت کے ذریعے۔
دفتر خارجہ کا کہنا ہے کہ “وزیر خارجہ شاہ محمود قریشی اقوام متحدہ کے کام کے تین اہم ستون ، یعنی امن و سلامتی ، ترقی اور انسانی حقوق سے متعلق امور پر صدر منتخب ہونے والے ولکن بوزکیر کے ساتھ وسیع پیمانے پر بات چیت کریں گے۔”
ولکن بوزکیر ترکی کا پہلا پہلا شہری ہے جو متحدہ قومی جنرل اسمبلی کے صدر کے دفتر کے لئے منتخب ہوا ہے۔
پاکستان کا کہنا ہے کہ وہ بین الاقوامی امن و سلامتی سے متعلق سوالات پر اقوام متحدہ کی جنرل اسمبلی کے کردار کی حمایت کرنے کے لئے پرعزم ہے۔ معاشی اور معاشرتی ترقی۔ انسانی حقوق کے فروغ اور تحفظ؛ بین الاقوامی تنازعات کا پرامن حل۔ طاقت کے استعمال کے خطرے سے پرہیز کرنا؛ اور اقوام عالم کے چارٹر کے مقاصد اور اصولوں پر مشتمل ، مساوی حقوق اور لوگوں کے خود ارادیت کے اصول پر مبنی ممالک کے مابین دوستانہ تعلقات استوار کرنا۔
The President-elect of the 75th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) Volkan Bozkir will visit Pakistan from August 9-10, 2020 at the invitation of the Pakistani government.
He will chair a historic and unprecedented session of the General Assembly as the UN commemorates the 75th anniversary of its founding this year. The general assembly debate, traditionally the most prominent UN event of the year, said that a UN announcement in September will be a slimmed-down affair with world leaders staying away from New York and unifying Contribute speeches via video link, confirmed a UN spokesman on Thursday.
Each Member State, Observer State and the European Union were asked to submit a pre-recorded video to be played by a senior official in the General Assembly Hall. “The hall will not be empty as the videos will be presented by a representative from each state who will be physically present,” said the UN spokesman.
The Foreign Ministry announced in announcing the visit that while Bozkir will meet Prime Minister Imran Khan and Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, the visit itself is important to highlight, among other things, Pakistan’s strong and substantial contributions to the UN’s promotion and maintaining international peace and security, particularly through our contribution to UN peacekeeping operations around the world.
“Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi will hold extensive talks with President-elect Volkan Bozkir on issues relating to the three main pillars of the work of the United Nations, i.e. peace and security, development and human rights,” said the Federal Foreign Office.
Volkan Bozkir is the first Turkish citizen to be elected to the office of President of the United States General Assembly.
Pakistan said it remains committed to supporting the role of the United Nations General Assembly in matters of international peace and security. economic and social development; Promotion and protection of human rights; peaceful settlement of international disputes; refrain from threatening to use force; and developing friendly relations between nations based on the principle of equality and self-determination of peoples as enshrined in the purposes and principles of the Charter of the United Nations.
