صرف ماسک پہن کر کورونا کو نہیں روکا جاسکتا: ڈبلیو ایچ او
ورلڈ ہیلتھ آرگنائزیشن کے ڈائریکٹر جنرل ڈاکٹر ٹیڈروس نے کہا کہ صرف ماسک پہننے سے کورونا وائرس سے بچا نہیں جاسکتا بلکہ سماجی فاصلے ، صاف ہاتھ اور پبلک ہیلتھ کو بھی یقینی بنایا جائے۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ اگر سماجی فاصلہ ممکن نہیں ہے تو لوگوں کو ماسک پہننے کی ترغیب دی جائے ، پبلک ٹرانسپورٹ ، دکانوں اور مجمع میں فیس ماسک پہنا جائے ، جبکہ کلینکس میں کام کرنے والے عملے کو بھی ماسک پہننا چاہئے۔
ڈاکٹر ٹیڈروز نے مزید کہا کہ کپڑے کے ماسک 3 پرتوں سے بنائے جائیں ، اور 60 سال سے زیادہ عمر کے افراد اور بیماروں کو میڈیکل ماسک پہننا چاہئے۔
Dr Tedros, director general of the World Health Organization, said wearing a mask would not only prevent coronavirus but also ensure social distance, clean hands and public health.
He said that if social distance is not possible then people should be encouraged to wear masks, face masks should be worn in public transport, shops and gatherings, while staff working in clinics should also wear masks.
Dr. Tedros added that cloth masks should be made of 3 layers, and that people over the age of 60 and the sick should wear medical masks.
