An AFP based on official sources showed that the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases worldwide was more than 3.5 million today, three quarters of them in Europe and the United States.
At least 3,500,517 coronavirus infections and 246,893 deaths have been registered worldwide. Europe is the most affected continent with more than 1.5 million COVID-19 cases and over 143,000 deaths.
The United States has registered more than 1.1 million coronavirus cases and 67,000 deaths.
