According to Afghanistan’s Shamshad news agency, Taliban fired in the air during their celebrations in the mid night killing 17 people and injuring 41, Tolo News reported.
Gulzada Sangar, a spokesman for a regional hospital in Jalalabad, the provincial capital of Nangarhar, said 14 people were injured in a shooting during a celebration in the eastern part of Nangarhar.
Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid, referring to the aerial firing, said: “Aerial firing should be avoided because the weapons given to you are a public asset, no one has the right to harm them. It can also cause damage, so do not fire in the air.
On the other hand, Vice President Amrullah Saleh, who was present in Panch Sher with the son of former Mujahideen commander Ahmad Shah Masood, acknowledged the dangerous condition of the Resistance Forces (NRF).
“The situation is difficult, we are being attacked,” Saleh said in a video message.
In the video, Amrullah Saleh appears in a traditional shalwar kameez, even though he is known as a fan of Western clothing. “The resistance continues and will continue,” he said.

طالبان کے ترجمان ذبیح اللہ مجاہد نے فضائی فائرنگ کا حوالہ دیتے ہوئے کہا: “ہوائی فائرنگ سے گریز کیا جانا چاہیے کیونکہ آپ کو دیے گئے ہتھیار ایک عوامی اثاثہ ہیں ، کسی کو ان کو نقصان پہنچانے کا حق نہیں ہے۔ یہ نقصان بھی پہنچا سکتا ہے ، لہذا اس میں فائرنگ نہ کریں۔ ہوا.
دوسری جانب نائب صدر امر اللہ صالح جو کہ سابق مجاہدین کمانڈر احمد شاہ مسعود کے بیٹے کے ساتھ پنچ شیر میں موجود تھے ، نے مزاحمتی قوتوں (این آر ایف) کی خطرناک حالت کو تسلیم کیا۔
